Background

Behind the Scenes (BTS) was founded in 1985. The initial focus of the company was on design for theatre but shortly after inception the emphasis began to swing toward broadcast and corporate television.

As Behind the Scenes grew we expanded into a larger facility in Addison, Illinois and began to expand the volume and scope of the business.

In 1998 Behind the Scenes was acquired by the Total Living Network, (TLN). Through this arrangement TLN was able to enhance the “on-air” look of their broad based, family oriented programming with the additional creative input for which Behind the Scenes has been recognized.

Freelance

Frequently, Behind the Scenes uses quality freelance craftsman to help fabricate our sets. Positions we frequently look to fill include carpenters, scenic artists, seamstress (to work with fabric on sets), welders, metal-workers and more.
